This movie is based on the true story about Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who saved the lives of more than a thousand Polish-Jewish refugees during then Holocaust by employing them in his factories. Schindler’s List is one of the most touching movies that you will ever watch.

Catch Me If You Can

This is a true story about the life of Frank Abagnale Jr. He was a normal guy who eventually got so driven by his dream to live the high life that he began to work as a conman. Abagnale posed as a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor and Louisiana attorney and parish prosecutor – and also got away with all of it. His primary crime was cheque forgery, becoming so skillful that the FBI eventually turned to him for help in catching other cheque forgers. This movie can teach you how confidence in yourself can make things work for you. Abagnale also managed to turn his passion into an honourable profession in the end. Catch Me If You Can stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Abagnale and Tom Hanks.

This movie is also taken from real life. The film proves that success is not only reserved for kids from well-off families. Outstanding success can be achieved by those who have the right mix of talent and determination. The Greatest Game Ever Played is the true story of the golfing legends Francis Ouimet and Harry Vardon.

The Pursuit of Happyness

Pursuit Of Happyness

The movie based on the real story of Chris Gardner is true inspiration. Will Smith acts as the lead. It is a story of how Chris creates a multi-million dollar brokering firm overcoming near bankruptcy.

Jerry Maguire

Jerry leaves his big money agency position to go out and start his own shop. But all that begins to crumble when he finds out that nothing ever goes as planned. This movie also teaches entrepreneurs a lot about loyalty – a must watch.

  7. Good list. I know this is an older post but still relevant so I’ll add my contribution.

    In the “you have no excuse whatsoever to not be successful” category, also known as “whiners need not apply,” you could add one of my all time favorite inspiring movies: “Door to Door” staring William H. Macy.

    And in the “never give up” category I would add “Touching the Void.” A movie you’ll never forget.
