The Uses of Signal Time Clock

By | 2014/09/29

Factories and shops require their workers to give their full attention to the job at hand. It is fairly easy for employees to lose track of time when they are fully engaged in their daily tasks. Supervisors want to make sure that their employees can tell when their shift has ended or when it is time for a break in noisy job conditions. Workers who can plan their break times more effectively in a busy environment work better.

A busy environment is where a signal time clock becomes useful. The horn or bell sound is easy to hear above the noise of industrial equipment. In factories or other settings where there is a large floor space, sick this helps ensure that everyone knows that the shift has ended. Employees can also take breaks off the shop floor more easily, knowing that they can easily tell when it is time to go back to work. Employees who have a little more flexibility in taking breaks are typically much happier.

These types of clocks have also proven to be quite effective for turning appliances and other devices on and off. Being able to disable equipment at a specified time is a very effective way to prevent unauthorized usage of the equipment after hours. Anti-tampering technology is used to further prevent unauthorized access. Companies can save money by not having to worry about supplying extra security for such equipment, allowing them to focus on providing and maintaining the best equipment.

Many companies have a smaller workforce and worry about keeping job costs in check. One of the advantages of using signal clocks is that they are very effective for keeping track of these costs. Companies that make use of this type of technology are likely to see a decrease in overall costs.

These clocks are also very effective for standard time clock use. Even though many companies require their employees to report their hours worked online or with a phone system, this is not always practical in an industrial setting. Employees who are beginning or ending a shift can easily check in or checkout, without any further steps for reporting their time being needed.
